Introduction

Best place to work

The Milan Innovation Campus, designed by architects Ricardo Flores and Eva Prats of Barcelona, was born from the idea to create a highly-efficient office complex that hosts companies that take part in a culture of innovation, from their technology and new ways of working - their "musts".

Made according to a court-centered plan, the individual buildings provide users the space to be able to work in close quarters with the nature that surrounds them outside, and in full harmony with colleagues inside, thanks to its technological support.
It is the emblem of the SMART BUILDING concept (defined as the intelligent management of impact and quality of life at the workplace). It's a work environment that is constantly evolving, born of a perfect synergy between technological and cultural progress; cutting-edge technology and domotics pair together perfectly with its high quality of construction. The floor's wing and facade respond to the needs of having maximum flexibility inside, all while ensuring the proper natural lighting of space.

Aside from offices and workshops, restaurants, bars, conference rooms, an auditorium, fitness trails, jogging, a fitness center and spa, sports fields, recreational areas, a minimarket, nursery and kindergarten all find their home on the campus.

The Innovation Campus in Milan does not solely represent a unique physical and technologically ideal location, but also a new approach to working methods, from the evolution of technology and the needs of all the stakeholders concerned. In all, the Innovation Campus is a project that looks to the future… but here the future finds itself at home.

Project

The complex is made up of 4 principal structures: 3 buildings (A and B are already completed, while building C is under construction) and the auditorium, interconnected through a central hub. The campus was developed over an area of 100,000 m2, of which 50,000 m2 is used for office space (spread over 3 floors), 70,000 m2 is green space and there are approximately 1,700 covered parking spaces.
Aside from offices and workshops, restaurants, bars, conference rooms, an auditorium, fitness trails, jogging, a fitness center and spa, sports fields, recreational areas, a minimarket, nursery and kindergarten all find their home on campus.

Location

The campus is located in the city of Peschiera Borromeo (San Bovio), close to the Linate international airport (reachable in just 4 minutes) and the center of Milan (15 minutes) on shuttle bus 73.

The complex is located in an area bordering the Southern Milan Agricultural Park near the Idroscalo park, an Italian "Silicon Valley" situated in a convenient location, both close to main roads and public transportation.

It is an area which is already full of companies that have seen the great potential of the location. Besides the Innovation Campus, many multinational companies such as Microsoft, 3M, IBM, Mondadori and others have their headquarters here.

Connections

Local-Global-International

Milan's Innovation Campus, located in the city of Peschiera Borromeo, is in a strategic place from an infrastructural point of view, and is attractive in terms of landscape as it is adjacent to the Southern Milan Agricultural Park - an Italian Silicon Valley of sorts that is closely tied to the region and Lombardy's agricultural roots, but also looks to the future in regards to innovation. Creating international relationships is just a few minutes away - it takes just 5 minutes to reach Milan's Linate airport, and just 15 kilometers to Milan's center, Europe's gateway.

The Innovation Campus is accessible by the eastern highway (Tangenziale Est) through Paullese and Rivoltana, and in 2015 it will also be connected to the Bre.Be.Mi and T.E.M.

It is 20 minutes away from Porta Venezia and Milan's Duomo via public transportation and thanks to the suburban railway it is also connected with the Milanese hinterland and main railway stations.
