The Innovation Campus in Milan is the first campus built in Italy according to American LEED certificiations (Leadership in Energy and Design) which is a first for the country in terms of building sustainable, highly efficient and functional buildings. Other than being LEED GOLD certified, the complex also earned the Italian "Classe A" energy certification.

The careful design, correct orientation and the use of high-performance and energy efficient systems such as district heating, geothermal, solar and solar-thermal energy, the collection and reuse of rainwater and a high-performance facade, reduce the building's operating costs at a benefit to the company, the environment and community.
